The Hildebrandt poster is a unique Star Wars poster. Not only does it hold an interesting story, but it’s also worth some big bucks. Star Wars was released in America in May 1977 but wasn’t released in the UK until December of that year. In anticipation of the Star Wars release in the UK, the studio asked the Hildebrandt brothers, artists Greg and Tim, to design a poster. Unfortunately, the studio didn’t feel as though they portrayed the characters very well on the poster, so they scrapped that idea and asked Tom William Chantrell to make a replacement. While the Hildebrandt brothers didn’t get time in the spotlight, a few of the posters still live and are worth some big bucks.
