Pez is the name of an Austrian candy and associated manual candy dispensers. The candy is a pressed and dry block in a Pez dispenser holder that can hold 12 pieces. It was invested in Austria but was soon worldwide.
Pez even became so popular that the dispensers started to be decorated with unique colorings and even character figures on top. If you’re looking for the most valuable Pez dispensers, you’re in the right place. Most of these are near and dear to our hearts as memories from when we were a kid, so it’s only fair that a lot of us would want to collect them.

15. Soft Head Dumbo, $1,000
Dumbo is a classic Disney character that several of us love dearly, which only creates a higher value. Unfortunately, the above image does not showcase the soft head version, however, the only difference is that the soft head is soft, while this is made of hard plastic. The Dumbo soft head edition is one of the most valuable Pez dispensers that you can find today, valued at around $1,000.

14. Mary Poppins with Painted Cheeks, $1,250
The second entry involves yet another one of Disney’s classic and most beloved characters, Mary Poppins. While her film originally aired in 1964, there have been several adaptations and additional releases throughout media on her character and story. One such creation is having her beautiful head as part of a Pez Dispenser. This was released in 1973 with two variations. You could get ahold of this Pez Dispenser without any paint on her face, or one with red paint on her cheeks for a larger value as it was rare and highly sought after. The one with rosy cheeks can be purchased for around $1,100, like this most recent sale through eBay on December 2023. However, the Pez Price Guide values her at around $1,250.

13. Psychedelic Flower, $2,000
This is one of the creepier entries. These psychedelic flowers were released in 1968 and have several variants, over 80. While the ones released later are only worth a few bucks, the original releases were worth around $400 to $2,000, depending on the stickers used to decorate these dispensers. Some examples of the ones worth $2,000 according to the price guide are the green eye and yellow petal dispensers with two stickers that say Luv Pez with the psychedelic design. The one shown above, with the red petals, is unfortunately only worth $400, but is the most recent purchase on eBay that shows that there’s still some value.

12. Snow White Lavender, $2,600
Back again with some more pop culture, we have another beloved and classic Disney character, Snow White. The movie came out in 1937 and the Pez was released sometime in the late ’60s and has several variations of her bow. While several ones are cream in color and blue, while some were lavender, and were incredibly valuable. If you end up coming across a lavender bow Snow White, definitely snatch it up, as it’s one of the most valuable Pez dispensers, valued at around $2,500.

11. Witch B, $2,900
Witch B is just one of the many variants when it comes to the Halloween series, and is one of the most valuable Pez dispensers that you can find today. Witch B is larger than Witch A and has a different Witch on the stem. It’s orange and black, the perfect spooky coloring for the season. The photo shown above is from Live Auctioneers where one was sold in 2012 for $2,000, so the value is only going up through the years.

10. Inscribed Lion’s Club, $2,800
Next on the list of the most valuable Pez dispensers include the Purple Lion’s Club which is from the 1962 convention for the Lions Club. There are two variants, red and purple, with both valued at the same price. If the Pez is inscribed with a convention on the surface then it is valued at around $2,800, however, if it does not, it’s still worth around $1,600, a great value all around. In 2021, one of these sold for around $3,000, which shows that the value always fluctuates, making it a great item to collect.

9. Pineapple Crazy Fruit, $3,000
Not to be confused with the Fruit Sourz, which are worth a very minute amount compared to the Crazy Fruit Pez Dispensers, this Pineapple is one of the most valuable Pez around. There were four total variants, lemon, orange, pear, and pineapple. While the orange is extremely easy to find, as well as the pear, the pineapple is a different story. The pineapple is incredibly hard to find and is worth upwards of $3,000. The only variant out of the bunch worth more than that would be lemon, but with just one ever existing, no one knows if it’s even around still and how much it could be worth.

8. Panther with Black Nose and Green Eyes, $4,000
The Panther was released in the 1970s and includes two variations. Both include a blue head and red stem, but one has a pink nose and yellow eyes, while the other has a black nose and green eyes. The one above shows the former, unfortunately, but the latter is the one that is valued the highest. For $4,000, the black nose and green eyes are rarer, but if you’re able to find one, expect to pay a high price to get ahold of it.

7. Regular Folding, $5,200
Sometimes the very beginning is worth more than some of the more detailed items. The Regular Folding is a rare prototype of the Pez Dispenser and was around in the 1940s, but was never commercially produced. With that being said, these are worth around $5,000. The last known example was sold in 2002 for around $4,500, but Pez Price Guide values them closer to $5,200.

6. Mickey Mouse Softhead, $7,500
It’s shocking how much someone will pay for something we used to purchase for a dollar as a kid. One such example of an incredible price is the Mickey Mouse Softhead Pez dispenser which is currently valued at around $7,500 thanks to Pez Price Guide. This is a huge leap compared to the other Mickey Mouse characters on the list, with the next being only $500 for a Mickey Mouse with a painted face.

5. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, $9,866
As some may be well aware, Pez dispensers are still being made today. These are classic childhood favorites of mine, but they are also perfect for the young ones today. One of the most recent news and most valuable Pez dispensers is actually from a 2018 auction. Pez teamed up with Make-A-Wish UK to create these two unique dispensers to celebrate the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and were later auctioned on eBay, with all proceeds going to charity. The winning bid reached around $9,860.

4. Political Elephant, $10,000
The Political Elephant is an extremely rare Pez dispenser, as well as one of the most valuable Pez’s around with only a few known to exist. It was introduced in 1961, along with its counterpart, the Political Donkey, and is worth around $10,000, a huge chunk of change for some vintage plastic with a gorgeous metallic elephant bust.

3. 1950s Clear Space Gun, $11,211
Released in the 1950s, these Pez guns were all the rage, and still are. While the image above shows colored versions of these guns, the ones that have the highest value are the clear ones. With only two of these known to exist, it’s only fair that the value is over $11,000.

2. 1982 World’s Fair Astronaut B, $12,000
The 1982 World’s Fair Astronaut B Pez dispenser has quite a famous story. Several sources might say that this is the most valuable Pez dispenser and is worth $32,000, however, that is not the case. This Pez dispenser was up for sale on eBay in 2006, and the winning bid did reach $32,205, however, when the seller went to collect the amount, the buyer never responded. Later, the value of the dispenser was evaluated and was only at around $12,000. That still is an incredibly high price but not as much as some might think.

1. Political Donkey, $13,000
With only one of three known to exist, this is one of the most valuable Pez dispensers that you can try and get your hands on today. The Political Donkey is more valuable than the elephant as its value is around $13,000, the highest on the list. It was released in 1961 and is extremely rare. One of the dispensers was gifted to President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and is one of the most coveted Pez dispensers ever made, and will most likely be sold at a higher price than the one listed.
