Collecting games are everywhere. From popular franchises like Pokemon where you collect monsters and battle to games like Bakugan where you collect cards and balls that explode in battle to fight. Both franchises are incredibly popular and are the reason for so many more games today.
But what are some of the rarest Bakugans that you can find? Bakugan Battle Brawlers was the first in the series, airing in 2007, with Bakugan: Battle Brawlers being the first action-adventure game that was released in 2009.
Since then, Bakugan has been going strong. Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia was revealed in 2020, and while there were some negative reviews, many fans are still thoroughly enjoying collecting the cards and Bakugan. But like any collecting game, there are rare Bakugans as well, making the hunt for all of them more enjoyable. Here are some of the rarest Bakugans to help you finish your collection.
15. Dharak Colossus
One of the rarest Bakugans, and most expensive, is the Translucent Mutant Krakenoid Bakugan, which is a BakuMutant variation of Krakenoid. The Krakenoid is a sea monster/dragon-like Bakugan and is seen being sold for over $700, like this eBay seller who recently sold this item for $800. It’s crazy to think that someone would spend that much money on a toy, but for collectors, these items are priceless. For the translucent Bakugan, it’s a lot more pricier, but for some of the Blue Aquous attributes, it’s a bit more affordable at around $500.

14. Nova Draganoid x Nillious
There are several fusions in the Bakugan franchise, and one of the rare fusions is Dragoniod x Nillious. Dragonoid is known for being at the top of all Bakugans and is the strongest out of them all, along with the fiercest. Nillious is a Generation 2 Bakugan and is known as a wild card, as his main aim in fighting is just to kill, not even to win, and to fight by himself. With the combination, it’s incredible to see such a unique and powerful Bakugan and no wonder the value for this one is high.

13. Jigen Dragaon
Jigen Dragaon is one of the rarest Bakugans and is a dragon-like Japanese original Bakugan from BakuTech, only available in Japan. Many of the Japanese Originals are considered rare and hard to find, but this one is at the top of rarity. If you’re on the hunt for one, you’re more than likely going to have to spend more than $100, like this recent sale that went for $130 on eBay.

12. Ventus Symbiote Suit Spider-Man
Spider-Man? Bakugan? Of course, there are going to be collabs and mash-ups, and while some might not count this as a Bakugan, it’s one of the rare Bakugans out there. The Symbiote Suit Spider-Man features Spider-Man decked out in his dark suit and is part of the BakuMarvel Bakugan, a retool of Razenoid. This collab was a specialty Bakugan toy line that was in 2011 for the New York Toy Fair and features some amazing additions like Iron Man, Wolverine, Red Skull, Spider-Man, and even Captain America.

11. Single-Headed Hydranoid
Not only are Hydranoids a fan-favorite in the franchise, but they are also some of the rarest Bakugans as well. With only a small amount being made, they’re hard to come by. But one of the rarest types of Hydranoids are the single-headed Hydranoids. He was only created in the Masquerade evolution pack, which makes him a very rare and hard-to-come-by Bakugan. 10. B1 Terrorclaw
When thinking of Bakugan, you might come across names that include a B1 or B2, and this refers to the waves of creations. For instance, B1 is the first-ever wave of the legacy toys, and B2 refers to the rest of the legacy toys. B1 was smaller (around 4 mm smaller) while B2 was better matched with the size that the show and manga refer to, like the size of a marble. That being said, getting ahold of B1 Bakugan is extremely rare, like this B1 Terrorclaw.

9. B1 Manion
As mentioned above, B1 Bakugans are very few and far between, making them a sight to behold for collectors everywhere. If you’re wanting to complete your B1 collection, getting ahold of the Manion Bakugan is a must. Reddit user here shows off their collection of different Manion attributes. This is a sphinx/manticore-like Bakugan with huge wings and four pairs of razor-sharp claws on each paw.

8. B1 Siege
Another Bakugan in the B1 issue is the Siege Bakugan, one of the rarest Bakugan in the franchise. The knight-like Bakugan can be seen wearing shining armor with a silk cape that is used both for flying and protection. He’s equipped with a lance with different blade tips depending on his attribute. Several B1 editions are extremely rare, and this one is no exception.

7. B1 Haos Hynoid
The Hynoid is a hyena-like Bakugan in either Haos or Subterra attribute. The Haos attribute is especially rare due to it not being released as many as others. Not only is the card and sphere gorgeous, but it’s a sought-after Bakugan. Reddit user Rustic_Prism shares a photo of their findings and talks about how this Bakugan has created their need to keep hunting for some of the rare Bakugans.

6. Gold Fear Ripper
Some of the rarest Bakugans are limited edition ones, like the one shown above. The Fear Ripper is a humanoid Bakugan with large, extending claws and is commonly used by evil characters in the storylines. There is a limited edition Gold colored Fear Ripper, and only 300 have been produced and sold as a keychain. This one was one of the very first limited edition items and was released in 2007.

5. Flare Dragon
You could name any from the Bakutech series and be right about the rarest Bakugan. Bakutech is a series in the franchise with outstanding performance and is exclusive to Japan so they are extremely rare to get. While there are several examples of these Bakugan, one that pops up a lot when thinking about rarity is Flare Dragon, a dragon-like Japanese original that evolves into Gren Dragaon, then Rise Dragaon and Jigen Dragaon.

4. Stardox
Another rare Bakugan belongs to Stardox, a starfish-like Geogan with the incredible power to obliterate anything in its path while traveling with other Geogan, making for an exciting battle. They also share a strong psychic connection with the humans they team with, sharing an intuitive battle strategy. According to the Bakugan Wiki page, this is yet another card that is ultra rare, making it on the list today of the rarest Bakugan.

3. Viperagon
Another card that is considered ultra-rare is Viperagon, an amphisbaena-style Geogan that debuted in Bakugan: Geogan Rising, the third season of the second generation of Bakugan that introduces Geogan, a new gameplay element. 2. Dragonoid x Tretorous
Dragonoid x Tretorous is a Fusion Bakugan that is made up of Dragonoid and Tretorous and appeared in the anime, Bakugan: Armored Alliance. The ball was first seen at the 2020 New York Toy Fair and is an ultra-rare one according to the wiki. Dragonoid is considered one of the most powerful Bakugan’s in the franchise, and Tretorous is a troll-like Bakugan that is described as lazy and sleepy, an incredibly interesting combination that creates a unique fusion and is extremely rare.

1. Dragonoid
Dragonoid is probably the most famous and well-known Bakugan in the franchise, as well as the rarest Bakugan. Dragonoid is commonly referred to as the most powerful Bakugan and evolves into Delta Dragonoid. Dragonoid was released in North America in all six Attributes with different G-Powers, the highest being in the B1 series is a Pyrus Dragoinoid with 700Gs. Since he’s so well-known, he is the most sought-after, which makes him a very rare find and one collectors should get their hands on. According to the fanpage of the franchise, Dragonoid is considered an ultra-rare card and extremely hard to find.
