The Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is the second most expensive car in the world. Coming from Rolls-Royce Coachbuild, it was inspired by everything nautical. The car shares its chassis and engine with the Rolls-Royce Phantom but has 1,813 parts, including five electronic control units in the rear deck. Rounding out the most expensive cars list is the Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail at $30 million. Unlike the previous models, the La Rose Noire is a two-seater supercar with a removable hardtop. Under the hood, the Noire features a twin-turbo 6.75-liter V-12 engine, producing 563 bhp and 820 Nm of torque. The paint was developed over 150 tests, inspired by the Black Baccara rose petals in France. The car took two years to develop and an additional nine months for production.
