Benji Dunn’s (Simon Pegg) waiter costume from Brad Bird’s 2011 spy sequel Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team must operate on their own when the IMF (Impossible Mission Force) is closed down following its implication in a Kremlin bombing. The technical field agent dressed as a waiter in disguise when the IMF team convince Moreau (Léa Seydoux) that she is meeting with Hendricks (Michael Nyqvist) in the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The costume consists of a long jacket, matching hat, white cotton trousers, and white “Toms” plimsolls (UK Men’s Size 10.5). Made from a textured yellow fabric, the jacket displays decorative covered buttons, a hidden zip running down the front, and a piece of Velcro adhered to the center front. A “Silva’s Costumes, Hollywood, CA” label is sewn into the jacket’s lining. Labeled “Benji”, the trousers feature a zip fly and poppers at the ankles. The costume shows minor plucks and loose threads from production use, but remains in overall very good condition.
