Every tequila in the DeLeon lineup is in the luxury price range, but none more so than their Leona. The spirit inside every bottle is carefully selected by DeLeon’s Master Distiller, blended from the best barrels of that year’s tequila production, and rested for a year in French Sauternes casks. This tequila costs $1,000 a bottle but is not as expensive as the others.

Cincoro Extra Añejo’s tequila has matured over 44 months, giving it a superior flavor, and is Cincoro’s most refined tequila. Just some of the delicious hints of flavor include oak, orange, white chocolate, dried fruit, and savory herbs. It was a Double Gold winner at the 2019 SIP Awards and costs $1,700 per bottle.

Made from 100% agave, Barrique de Ponciano Porfidio is undiluted by minerals or corruption of a water supply, giving the tequila a clean taste.

6. AsomBroso “Del Porto” Extra Añejo, $2,200
From Ricardo Gamarra’s collection, AsomBroso’s “Del Porto” tequila is the first of its kind. Each batch is double barrel rested for 12 years in French oak and port wine casks to give it its signature flavor. The tequila is bottled in a crystal decanter based on an 18th-century piece in Europe, which took Ricardo and Italian artist Luciano Gambaro over two years to recreate. The tequila sells for $2,200 a bottle.

5. Patrón x Guillermo Del Toro Añejo Tequila, $5,000
Patrón X Guillermo Del Toro Añejo Tequila is an extra añejo expression comprised of a blend of Tequilas aged for five years in oak barrels. The original box, which also features a limited-edition liqueur, retailed for $399; it’s now sold for up to $5,000.
4. Patron En Lalique, Series 2, $7,500
Patron En Lalique Series 2 is a beautiful golden extra Añejo aged eight years in American oak, French oak, and sherry barrels. As for the bottle, it’s quite a sight; a cut crystal decanter housed in a wooden box complete with a retractable viewing panel. The Lalique association no doubt contributes to the value of this expression. This tequila is going for $7,500. Some will say it is worth it for its rich flavor.

3. Clase Azul 15th Anniversary Edition, $30,000
Clase Azul released their 15th-anniversary edition tequila with a limited run of 15 uniquely designed bottles, priced at $30,000 each. The bottles are hand-painted ceramics designed by local artists and come in a decorative box featuring 24-carat gold inlay.

Tequila Ley .925 is so expensive that it holds the second spot on our list. Tequila Ley commissioned Mexican artist Alejandro Gomez Oropeza to design three unique bottles resembling barbed seashells. The liquid inside the bottle is special; 100% select agave that has been barrel-aged for seven years. If you were hoping to get your hands on one for yourself, though, you might be frustrated as it’s reported that only one bottle has been produced that is worth $3.5 million.
