7. Dalmore 62, $200,000
The Dalmore 62 references its age. A single bottle will fetch north of $60,000, and the decanter that houses the whiskey will spiral costs into six figures.
The decanter is made from platinum and crystal, with a wooden mold that took more than 100 hours to be handcrafted.
This combo of Dalmore 62 and Decanter will set you back $200,000. There are only twelve Dalmore 62s that have ever been made, making it one of the rarest and most expensive whiskeys in the world.

6. The Macallan Reach, $256,422
The Macallan The Reach is worth a little over $256,000 according to Wine Searcher, and is one of the most expensive whiskey in the world.
Aging since 1940, Reach is one of the oldest whiskeys and was sold with a bronze sculpture of three hands holding the bottle, upping the price even more. While it used to have a value of nearly $2 million, it has since gone down to not even half. Still, it’s one of the pricier and rare finds.

5. The Macallan 64 In Lalique Cire Perdue, $464,000
The Macallan 64 In Lalique Cire comprises three different types of whiskeys that were aged in Spanish Oak from 1946.
Decanters of the Macallan 64 In Lalique Cire Perdue are rare and were last seen at auction in 2010, where it was sold for $464,000. At the time, the Guinness Book of World Records called it the most expensive whiskey.
A factor in this high price is the decanter, which was made from crystal by French glassmaker Lalique.

4. The Yamazaki Single Malt Whiskey, $516,313
One of the most expensive whiskeys on the list is also one of the world’s oldest Japanese whiskeys. Yamazaki 55-year-old whiskey was released in 2020.
However, the release was intended for residents of Japan as only 100 bottles were produced. This was to ensure real Yamazaki enthusiasts could get their hands on the product. A while later, the United States was able to grab its own, with a hefty price tag.
Since the bottle is so rare, and it’s so old, the value has only gone up, initially being $60,000, and is now over $500,000 according to Wine Searcher.

3. The Macallan M, $628,205
A bottle of Macallan M whiskey can be picked up for $5,000 roughly. So the other $623,205 is all down to the decanter, as a bottle was sold at a Hong Kong auction in 2014 for $628,205.
The crystal decanter holds 6 liters of whiskey, is multi-faced, and is known as the Constantine decanter, named after the Roman Emperor. Only four of them have ever been produced making them the rarest whiskey vessel in the world, as well as one of the most expensive whiskeys.

2. Emerald Isle Whiskey, $2 Million
The oldest and rarest triple-distilled single malt whiskey, the Emerald Isle Whiskey, is one of the most expensive whiskeys around.
For a price of $2 million, the whiskey partnered with iconic jeweler, Faberge, to craft the beautiful bottle holding the liquor. The first box set was sold at an auction for that incredible price, and then the remaining sets were launched at exclusive events around the world.
Just two sets remain. Inside the box is the whiskey, two classes, cigars, a Faberge Celtic Egg, and a one-of-a-kind watch.

1. Isabella’s Islay, $6.2 million
Isabella’s Islay is the most expensive whiskey in the world with an estimated value of $6.2 million. The name is derived from the place of origin, the Island of Islay.
The high price is down to the expensive design of the decanter. Which is made up of 8,500 diamonds, 300 rubies, and exquisite white gold. However, this does not necessarily imply that the whiskey itself isn’t in demand.
Islay Scotch Whiskey is made from top-quality grains and rare ingredients. Yet, a bottle of Islay Scotch Whiskey can be picked up for $50 – we’re sure it’s not the same vintage (or we hope it’s not).
