This is the Fastest Car in the World
Adrenaline junkies that want to experience the thrill of a race in top-speed cars should try and get a ride in the fastest car in the world. Sports cars are thrilling to race, and testing how much power and speed you can push into a vehicle is a puzzle in itself.
Many engineers have mastered pushing the limits of vehicles, making them speed across the track at astronomical speeds. If you want to check out the fastest car in the world, then keep reading, as we’ll jump into the top 6 cars, ending with the current fastest.
6. Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, 256 Miles Per Hour
In answer to the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, the Swedish manufacturer, Koenigsegg, produced the Koenigsegg Jesko, a limited-production mid-engine sports car. It was first introduced at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and was sold out completely before the show even ended.
The car has two variations, the Absolut and the Attack, with the Absolut being the fastest of the two. When it was first released, the top speed was unknown, however since then, test driver Markus Lundh has set multiple records in a single run, hitting a max speed of 256 miles per hour.
When Koenigsegg talks about the possibilities that the Jesko Absolut has, it can technically reach above 300 miles per hour, but it hasn’t yet reached that number. While not as fast as the current fasted car in the world, at the time it was the talk of the town.

5. Hennessey Venom GT, 270 Miles Per Hour
The Hennessey Venom GT is a limited-production high-performance sports car by the Hennessey Performance Engineering manufacturer and is based on the Lotus Elise/Exige. In 2013, the Hennessey Venom hit a road legal speed record in the Guinness World Record for going 0-186 miles per hour in 12.63 seconds.
But in 2014 on the Kennedy Space Center’s 3.22-mile shuttle landing strip in Florida, the Hennessey Venom GT reached a record top speed of 270.49 miles per hour in a limited distance of 2.3 miles. While not the fastest car in the world, it still is a thrill to drive.

4. Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, 273 Miles Per Hour
The famed car that Koenigsegg tried to beat is the next fastest car in the world. The Bugatti Chiron is another Bugatti entry and is the successor of the Bugatti Veyron, and was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2016.
The car starts at an outrageous $3.3 million and reaches high speeds thanks to a 16-cylinder engine with four turbochargers that can crank out 1,500 horsepower. But it’s not just horsepower that helps this ride reach insane speeds, it’s also the design for optimized aerodynamics, with a careful balance between a low drag coefficient and just the right amount of downforce.
While the car reached the top speed of 273 miles per hour, its prototype version broke the 300-mile-per-hour barrier in 2019.

3. SSC Tuatara, 295 Miles Per Hour
While the Bugatti Chiron’s prototype did reach 300 miles per hour, its actual top speed upon purchasing the car is only 273, making the SSC Tuatara beat the Bugatti. Still not the fastest car in the world, but it does deserve a spot on the list.
The SSC Tuatara was made by the SSC North American manufacturer and is the successor to the Ultimate Aero and is the result of a design collaboration between Jason Castriota and SSC. The car reached its top speed of 295 miles per hour in 2022.

4. Bugatti Bolide, 310 Miles Per Hour
Bugatti is a popular name in sports and luxury cars, with their fastest model being the Bugatti Bolide. While not the fastest car in the world, it still has a top speed of 310 miles per hour.
While their Chiron barely broke 300 miles per hour in 2019, that only encouraged Bugatti to churn out something even more brilliant. With the SSC Tuatara beating the Chiron, Bugatti answered quickly with the Bolide, which is described as an “experimental study”, being the fastest and lightest vehicle concept in history.
Similar to the Chiron, the Bolide is powered by an 8-liter quad-turbo W16 engine, with ultra-light materials so it can reach 0-310-0 miles per hour in 33.62 seconds.

1. Devil Speed, 348 Miles Per Hour
Reaching a top speed of 348 miles per hour, the Devil Sixteen is the fastest car in the world. Designed by Devel Motors in the United Arab Emirates, this supercar redefines power and speed.
But the speed doesn’t stop at the record hitting 348 miles per hour, as it’s also fast to accelerate, reaching 0 to 60 in only 1.8 seconds. But with that kind of speed, it comes at a cost. The base price for the fastest car in the world is a staggering $1.7 million. But it also comes in three different models to cater to different preferences.
The base model generates between 1,500 to 2,00 horsepower. But the V16 engine version has a little over 3,000 horsepower. If you really want to dominate the field though, their quad-turbo V16 version has an incredible 5,000 horsepower of torque.
