Our tenth most expensive home is owned by superstars Jay-Z and Beyonce and is one of the greatest architectural masterpieces in the country. The 30,000-square-foot home is located in Malibu, with the couple paying $200 million to secure the property it makes this the most expensive home sold in California. Along with the architecture, the house sits on an 8-acre bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean on Billionaires’ Row.

9. 18-19 Kensington Gardens, $222 million
Our ninth most expensive home was a restoration project led by Sir David to bring 18-19 Kensington Palace Gardens back to its 1845 splendor, which was designed by Sir Charles Barry. Under the guidance of the English Heritage and The Crown Estate, all of the original features and decorations were carefully restored, including 40 Adam fireplaces. The whole project took five years to complete and is now home to the Mittal family.
8. Four Fairfield Pond, $250 million
Heading back over to the U.S. is our eighth selection, Four Fairfield Pond. The large private house has a total floor area of 110,000 square feet and is located in Sagaponack, Long Island. 7. The Odeon Tower Penthouse, $330 million
Valued at $380 million, the Odeon Tower Penthouse is located in the Golden Citadel of Monte Carlo. Designed by architect Alexandre Giraldi and constructed by Groupe Mazococo, the property is spread over several floors with a private elevator. In addition, this penthouse has a pool with a private water slide that takes you down one story into another infinity pool.

Worth $420 million, the Bubble Palace was built between 1975 and 1989. The house’s nickname “Bubble Palace” comes from its circular rooms that look out over the Mediterranean Sea. This palatial home is owned by Pierre Cardin, a French fashion designer. There are three swimming pools, many gardens, and a 500-seat amphitheater built within the hillside areas of the palace.

It includes 25 bedrooms, a glass rotunda, and a 70-foot-long ballroom. The house provides some of the best views of London.

Located in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat in France, the fourth most expensive house in the world is the Villa Les Cèdres. It was built in 1830, and later King Leopold II of Belgium purchased the house in 1904. Within Villa Les Cèdres, you’ll find 19th-century oil paintings, a library with 3,000 books, and beautiful crystal chandeliers. The property is worth $450 million.

3. Villa Leopolda, $750 million
At a whopping value of $750 million, the Villa Leopolda is located in the fashionable Cote d’Azur region of France. Owned by the widow of Lebanese Brazilian banker Edmund Safra, the original owner of the house was King Leopold II of Belgium. The villa is sprawled out over 50 acres, and is quite popular with Hollywood movies, appearing in the 1955 Alfred Hitchcock film To Catch a Thief.
