Performance

  • Jabra’s Elite Active 75t earbuds aren’t bulky, which makes them easier to wear for long periods of time. More so, the varying ear tips fit comfortably and don’t put any pressure on the inner ear. This combination gives them a premium feel and allows for extended use, unlike many other models that cost between $50 and $200.
  • The sound on the Jabra Elite Active 75t is bass-heavy. If you like EDM, hip-hop, and other bass-forward genres you’ll love their thumping low end. Luckily, if you don’t like the sound profile out of the box, you can customize your sound with a five-band equalizer on the companion app. This feature allowed us to bring out the instruments and vocals.
  • In terms of sound quality, the earbuds have good mid-range accuracy. They are able to detect vocals and lead instruments pretty accurately, once the EQ is tweaked. This gave the high mids much more intensity, and if we’re able to customize to our tastes, we predict other users will definitely be able to do the same.
  • Considering these earbuds are truly wireless, they deliver impressive sound quality with a formidable and reliable in-line microphone. At times, the embedded microphone can have some clarity issues, but overall, our experience was almost always clear.
  • The Jabra’s Active Noise-Cancellation is decent, if not stand out. Even at its highest setting, the ANC is quite mild and ‘gentle’, but it does a decent enough job without creating that eerie artificial feeling cheaper earbuds with ANC do.
  • Finally, the 6.5-hour continuous battery life is fantastic. Lasting a lot longer than a lot of other earbuds which have a similar sound quality, volume, and ANC.

Build Quality

  • The Jabra Elite 75t earbuds are notably more rugged than other truly wireless options out there and this is due to a rubberized coating that protects against drops and scratches.
  • Moreover, the matte plastic on the shells of some Elite models can be a bit slippery, but these earbuds have a great sandstone finish to add just a hint more grip, so they’re easier to handle.
  • However, this also makes them magnets for both dirt and dust. So, if you’re planning to work out with these, expect to clean them regularly.
