6. Nirvana – MTV Unplugged in New York, $400

The 1994 album was legendary, featuring a stripped-down acoustic performance that was one of the shining moments in the MTV Unplugged series. A sealed copy of the live LP performance is worth around $400, while a used copy could still be worth up to $200.

5. Dr. Dre – The Chronic, $500
Fifth on our list of vinyl records from the ’90s worth money is Dr Dre’s 1992 debut studio album, The Chronic. The album has since become a hip-hop classic, and is essential for serious collectors of the genre. A first pressing of the LP can earn up to $500, while used pressings can go for up to $200 depending on the condition.
4. Chris Cornell – Songbook, $500

Chris Cornell was the frontman of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog, but he also forged a career as a solo artist. Unfortunately, Cornell’s career was cut short in 2017 with his untimely death. His LP Songbook has become a fan must-have, selling for up to $500.

3. Oasis – (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, $535

1. George Michael – Older, $1,165
Last but not least on our list of vinyl records from the ’90s worth money is George Michael’s third solo studio album, Older. While the CD of Older is a prized piece in any collector’s collection, the real value comes with a vinyl form of the album. Mint copies of the 1996 LP can be worth up to $1,156, with prices ranging based on the condition of the record.
