For any music fans looking for something signed with real provenance, Julien’s Auctions is the perfect destination to pick up something special this weekend.
The auction is already live with online bidding. It concludes on Sunday, February 1, with a live sale planned. The final event starts at 11 a.m. PT at the Recording Academy in Santa Monica, and it’s open to remote bidders through the auction house site.
Whenever it comes to big, well-publicized auctions, prices can get high. However, if you’re after some truly unique items, it might be worth the battle. This is especially true with megastar celebrities, like music icons Mariah Carey and Taylor Swift.
What may surprise you is that it’s not all signed guitars. There are some really weird items, like famous car parts up for grabs.
Mariah Carey turns props into collectibles

Arguably, the oddest items up for sale at the auction are the spare hood and trunk lid from Mariah Carey’s custom pink 1961 Ford Thunderbird. Both are to be signed by Carey.
MyNewsLA reported those pieces as headline items, and their oddity makes them the kind of memorabilia that stands out. They’re more like movie props than standard music merch, which will no doubt make them all the more coveted.
For anyone who hunts rare collectibles, this item is the one to watch.
Another, more traditional bit of music merch from Carey up for grabs is a signed Soundwaves artwork. It was created from the audio recording of “Here for it All.”

After the huge Eras Tour success, the next most likely item that’ll turn heads is the Taylor Swift black Epiphone DR-100 SongMaker acoustic guitar. It has a “The Tortured Poets Department” graphic applied to the top and is signed on the lower body in silver.
It’s clean, display-ready, and instantly recognizable from across any room. Expect the item to sell well and be in the $5,000 to $10,000 range.
Other headline music merchandise
Other headline items up for auction include a Gibson B.B. King “Lucille” semi-hollow guitar autographed by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, with the original case included.
MusicRow found the catalog goes well beyond the headline names, and the featured tier reads like a greatest-hits shelf for collectors:
- Tony Bennett: a rare, large-scale original painting, described as one of only two large canvases from his collection.
- Slash: a signed Gibson “Jessica” Les Paul Standard.
- Cher: a Noir Kei Ninomiya-designed jacket, embellished with safety pins, worn in promos tied to her December “SNL” appearance, as MyNewsLA reported.
- Paul McCartney: a signed and personalized hardcover of “The Lyrics: 1965 to Present.”
MyNewsLA also reported a deep bench of additional donations, including 50+ items tied to names like Boy George, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Eminem, Foreigner, Phil Collins, Ringo Starr, Shakira, and Teddy Swims, with even more expected.
All proceeds are aimed at disaster relief, mental health services, addiction recovery programs, and essential living expenses for music people and their families.
