FANTASY TV SERIES: Despite the difficulty of shooting a TV series or movie during a year-long period of intermittent lockdowns, streaming content on Netflix, Disney Plus, and Co. has continued to reach us.

And after a year like 2020, there is nothing more entertaining than a grand fantasy adventure in 2021. So while theatres get back on track, let’s dig into the numerous fantasy TV series coming this year that’ll make staying home that little bit easier:

The Lord of the Rings – Prime Video, TBA 2021

When it comes to fantasy royalty, there’s none bigger than The Lord of the Rings:

And that has never been more obvious than with this TV series adaptation. The question is how will it stack up against a fantastic movie trilogy or even the monumental books?

The fact it will cost Amazon Prime $1-billion by the end of production doesn’t guarantee success – what it does guarantee is that we’ll likely see nothing else like it on our TV screens in 2021.

We are all waiting, hoping it is the one show to rule them all.

Fate – The Winx Saga – Netflix, January 2021

We don’t know if this will be a low-budget show or the next big teen drama fantasy series. “Fate – The Winx Saga” is an Italian – British production and it will be released on January 22nd on Netflix.

It was taken from the animated television series “Winx Club”, which was very popular in the first half of the 2000s. And with a Netflix audience that seems desperate for more teen drama, especially fantasy ones, we’re betting that this fantasy TV series ends up as one of the most talked-about on the net.
