And these are our 5 most anticipated sci-fi TV shows of 2021:
Foundation – TBA 2021
Based on the literary series by Isaac Asimov, one of the most important science fiction authors of all time, “Foundation” promises to be one of the television events of the year.
The series, created by David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman tells the story of a band of exiles that have to save the galactic empire from destruction and if they want to make it, they must challenge the empire itself.
As a showrunner, we have David Goyer, an important American writer who also worked on the Batman trilogy by Christopher Nolan:
(Another reason it is hotly anticipated).
It is currently classed as TBA 2021, but we can’t wait for it to hit Apple TV Plus.
Station Eleven – TBA 2021
“Station Eleven” is an original production for the HBO Max platform. Announced along with “Made for Love”, it is directed by director Hiro Murai (“Atlanta”, “Barry”, “Childish Gambino”, and “This Is America”) and it is based on Emily St. John Mandel’s bestseller.
The television adaptation of the series is entrusted to screenwriter Patrick Somerville, the same of “Made for Love” and “Maniac”.
What’s “Station Eleven” about? It is a post-apocalyptic story that crosses multiple timelines. In particular, it tells the story of people who survived a devastating deadly flu that halved the population.
“Station Eleven” will hit HBO Max sometime in 2021.
Snowpiercer 2 season – January 25th
Those who have seen the final episode of the first season know what to expect from Season 2, which was renewed despite Season 1 never really grabbing people as the movie did.
However, as big fans of the movie and book, our interest remains in this science fiction TV show that still has huge potential. Season 2 will be released on Netflix, January 25. Expect early reviews soon.

Tribes of Europa – February 19th
Netflix wants its “The 100” and might just find it in Philip Koch’s German series “Tribes of Europa”, set in a post-apocalyptic Europe which has been divided into tribes that fight each other to conquer the territory.
However, the balance of power swings when a spaceship crashes to Earth and three boys discover in the wreckage a cube that can give enormous powers or annihilate the human race forever.
It will be released on February 19th on Netflix.
Resident Alien – January 27th
The alien biologist Hah Re (Alan Tudyk) crashes into Colorado, near the town of Patience. To camouflage himself with the humans, he takes the form of Dr. Vanderspeigle, who lived alone and is recently deceased.
While he is trying to contact his planet, he decides to study humans closely. But the inhabitants of Patience realize that something is wrong – step in General Mcallister (Linda Hamilton) who is hunting Hah Re down.
This SyFy show hits TV screens January 27th.
