Magic: the Gathering Commander Masters Cards Reveal
Some of the most potent Magic: The Gathering sets available are called Masters sets. Surprisingly, we’ve gone this long without receiving one specific for the game’s most popular format, Commander, full of reprints of all kinds of staples and powerhouses. Now, some of the Magic: the Gathering Commander Masters Cards have been revealed.
The set will emphasize the immensely popular Commander mode while include reprints of cards from throughout MTG history. For those who don’t know, in Commander, players can choose one legendary creature to serve as their de facto leader, after which they can create a 99-card deck centered around that commander. There is a catch, though: A Commander deck can only contain one copy of each card, with the exception of basic land cards. Magic: the Gathering Commander Masters Cards are unique and reprinted alike.
The Magic: the Gathering Commander Masters Cards
With Commander Masters, we receive four preconstructed decks with brand-new cards in addition to a complete set of much-needed reprints for the Commander format. The Magic: the Gathering Commander Masters Cards will go on sale on August 4, 2023, but from July 11 through July 20, every card in the collection will be shown daily.
During the webcast, cards heading to Magic: the Gathering Commander Masters Cards were revealed. These cards include frequently played cards like Sol Ring, Command Tower, Path of Ancestry, the colorless The Prismatic Piper, and the downgraded Extinguish All Hope from Rare to Uncommon. It was confirmed that the Medallion cycle from 2014 would be returning to Magic: the Gathering Commander Masters Cards, along with the legendary beings Chainer, the master of dementia, Kozilek, The Great Distortion, and Krenko, Mob Boss.
