Why Are Cigars Expensive?
Cigars are usually more expensive than cigarettes, but this has to do with the limited production that cigars have compared to their smaller counterpart. There are some common cigars that are mass-produced, the ones with a higher price tag are harder to come by. This also had to do with a lot of rare cigars having aged tobacco leaves. Some brands even have tobacco that is aged for at least 10 years before being rolled.
And then of course, like any product, a certain brand might be highly sought after compared to others, which furthers the price tag and makes it harder to find. Some brands, such as Cohiba, are always on the list of high-quality with high demand. Lastly, interestingly enough, some cigars might not have any of these factors.
Some cigars lean towards the luxurious name simply by including rich products, like covering the cigars in gold leaves and diamonds or infusing them in expensive cognac.
