Celebrity Whoopi Goldberg is putting a huge portion of her life up for sale in a two-day auction on March 10 and March 11, 2026. If you want something truly authentic from the star’s life, it’s worth a look because bidding is already underway.

The event is through Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles. It will run both days starting at 10:00 a.m. Pacific, which is 1:00 p.m. Eastern.

I’ve watched and bidded in plenty of celebrity auctions because they can be a great way to get items with real, documented provenance. This one feels a little different, though. It’s not just a celeb listing a handful of keepsakes. It’s over 500 lots, and it reads like a true old-school attic clean-out. Only here, the attic is decades of Hollywood history.

In one report, Goldberg joked she has “more storage units than one person should have,” which pretty much sums up the vibe of this auction.

Whoopi Goldberg

Most people know Goldberg as the sharp voice at the table on The View, but her career runs way deeper than daytime TV.

For starters, she’s an EGOT winner with major film, stage, and hosting credits. For those who don’t know, an EGOT winner is someone who has won all four major American entertainment awards, including an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.

Additionally, it’s a career that has spanned 43 years. The star’s career began on stage in 1983, when she started performing her one-woman show, a breakthrough that soon led to a Broadway run.

It’s that timeline where true hidden treasures may be found in this sale. Julien’s frames it as more than a memorabilia drop, calling it a curated look at her life and work.

One of the standout items includes a blazer worn in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, which is expected to land in the hundreds to low-thousands range.

Beyond the movie wardrobe, the catalog stretches into red carpet fashion, jewelry, and items that feel oddly intimate for fans, like personal memorabilia tied to her on-camera years.

Then it veers into true collector territory. The auction materials highlight fine and decorative art, plus unexpected big-ticket pieces, including a tour bus.

Importantly, some of the proceeds will support One Simple Wish and DonorsChoose, two charitable groups tied to foster care support and classroom funding.

What should bidders know before jumping in?

For anyone looking to bid, know that the registration process is now open.

If you are browsing and bidding from home, don’t go start unprepared. That’s how one purchase can spiral. Instead, check the items in advance of bidding and set a hard ceiling for what you want to pay. This should factor in fees and shipping, two elements that can spiral costs quickly.

As Julien’s executive director Martin Nolan stated, the collection is a reflection of Goldberg’s cultural legacy, not just a pile of props. This is exactly why the bidding could get heated on the more recognizable pieces.
